The Deputy Director is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating operations of the venue including engineering, maintenance, repair, set-up/changeovers, custodial/housekeeping, and groundskeeping. The Deputy Director assists in providing overall planning, direction, and policies to operations staff to ensure the highest quality service. This role ensures effective and cost-efficient operations by controlling the division’s operating budget as well as providing highly responsible operations staff assistance and management to the Assistant Director. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City. The starting salary for this position is $94,572.45-$108,758.31, depending on qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum four (4) years experience in venue management in a similar event facility required. Demonstrated knowledge of operations management, mechanical, electrical, groundskeeping, and budget preparation and control required. Possession of valid Florida driver’s license and maintenance of clean driving record required.
 
A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
